Welcome to the on-line domain of Holistic Therapist and Bowen Practitioner Claire McKenzie B.A. MICHT ECBS DipSpM. Within the content of this website I have strived to answer any questions you may have about the different kind of therapies on offer, their unique uses and benefits and also when and where you can find me. I have had a few location changes recently but now I am firmly stationed within Napiers the Herbalists on Cresswell St and in Neals Yard on Royal Exchange Square in the Glasgow city centre. MY BACKGROUND AND TRAINING
I have been a practising therapist for 4 years now, since graduating from the Central College of Commerce with an HND in Complementary Therapies. Claire’s thirst for knowledge and desire to extend her skills has led to continuing studies in the field of musculo-skeletal problems and related pain. Although already a highly skilled masseuse, I was driven toward studying the Bowen Technique as a means of treating serious musculo-skeletal problems without the necessity for uncomfortable deep tissue massage. This has proved to be both a successful approach and very popular amongst my current clients.My holistic background provides the perfect backdrop for people looking for relaxation, while providing an opportunity to discuss any physical issues they may be experiencing.
I have worked as a therapist and lecturer for both private and voluntary organisations, including, Depression Alliance, Healthy Working Lives, NHS Aysrhire & Arran, NHS North Glasgow, Disability Awareness, Chest, Heart and Stroke, Sense Scotland and The Total Therapy Group.
